By accessing or using the GetMeInvoice application and website at getmeinvoice.com (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before using the Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "user") and GetMeInvoice, based in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. By clicking "I agree," creating an account or otherwise accessing the Service, you represent that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.
GetMeInvoice is an invoice management application that enables freelancers, contractors and small businesses to create professionally branded invoices, manage client relationships, track payment status and deliver invoices via email, WhatsApp and SMS.
The Service is available via web browser at app.getmeinvoice.com. We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuation of the Service.
To access the full features of the Service, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to provide accurate, current and complete information including your full name, a valid email address, phone number and city. You agree to keep this information up to date.

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Service. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their explicit written consent. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to be in violation of this requirement.
GetMeInvoice offers a free Essentials tier with no charge, subject to limitations on the number of active clients, invoices and access to certain advanced features as described on our pricing page at getmeinvoice.com/pricing. We reserve the right to modify the features included in the free tier with 30 days' notice.
Paid subscription plans are available on a monthly or annual basis, as selected at checkout. Pricing is displayed in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise specified. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorise GetMeInvoice to charge your designated payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) until your subscription is cancelled. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card number.
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers to a paid plan. If you are not satisfied within the first 14 days of your initial paid subscription, contact us at hello@getmeinvoice.com for a full refund. After 14 days, all subscription fees are non-refundable. No partial-month refunds are issued upon cancellation.
We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of any changes to our subscription pricing via email to the address on your account. Your continued use of the paid Service after the price change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the new pricing.
You may cancel your paid subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period, after which your account will revert to the free Essentials tier. Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund for any unused portion of your current billing period.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the Service to:
We reserve the right to investigate any suspected violation of these Terms. We may suspend or permanently terminate your account for violation of these Terms without prior notice where necessary to protect the Service, other users or the public.
You retain full ownership of all data and content you enter into the Service, including client information, invoice data, business information and uploaded files such as logos ("Your Content"). You are responsible for ensuring that Your Content is accurate and that you have the right to submit it.
By using the Service, you grant GetMeInvoice a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, transmit and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This licence terminates when you delete content or close your account.
You are responsible for obtaining any necessary consents from the individuals whose personal information (such as your clients' names and contact details) you enter into the Service, as required by applicable privacy law.
We will not access, use or disclose Your Content except to provide the Service, to respond to support requests you initiate, or as required by applicable law.
The Service, including its design, interface, source code, trademarks, service marks, logos, and all content created by GetMeInvoice, is owned by or licensed to GetMeInvoice and is protected by copyright, trademark and other applicable intellectual property laws of Canada and other jurisdictions.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, distribute, publicly display, create derivative works from or commercially exploit any part of the Service or its content without our express prior written permission. The GetMeInvoice name and logo are trademarks of GetMeInvoice. All other trademarks appearing in the Service are the property of their respective owners.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in the Service beyond those expressly set out herein.
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at getmeinvoice.com/privacy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to our collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy. Please read the Privacy Policy carefully before using the Service.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. GETMEINVOICE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, ERROR-FREE OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness or legality of any invoice you create using the Service. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your invoices comply with all applicable laws, tax regulations and contractual obligations in your jurisdiction. GetMeInvoice does not provide legal, tax, accounting or financial advice. Nothing in the Service constitutes professional advice of any kind.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GETMEINVOICE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES OR ANTICIPATED SAVINGS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO GETMEINVOICE IN THE 12 MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100 CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law.
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless GetMeInvoice and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses and fees (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall be brought exclusively in the courts of competent jurisdiction located in British Columbia, Canada, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, we encourage you to contact us at hello@getmeinvoice.com to attempt to resolve the matter informally. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes in good faith within 30 days of receiving notice.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of material changes by sending an email to the address associated with your account and/or by displaying a prominent notice in the Service. For non-material changes (such as clarifications or corrections that do not affect your rights), we may update the Terms without notice.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may cancel your subscription in accordance with Section 4.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@getmeinvoice.com or through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with reasonable prior notice except where immediate action is required to protect the security of the Service, prevent ongoing harm or comply with a legal obligation. Grounds for termination include violation of these Terms, non-payment of applicable fees, or conduct we reasonably determine to be harmful to the Service or other users.
Upon termination of your account, you will have 30 days to export your data using the export tools available in the Service. After this 30-day period, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy, subject to legal retention requirements.
Sections 6 (Your Data and Content), 7 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Disclaimers), 10 (Limitation of Liability), 11 (Indemnification) and 12 (Governing Law and Disputes) shall survive termination of these Terms.
Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and GetMeInvoice regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings and representations.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce that provision in the future.
Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.
Force majeure: We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, government actions or internet infrastructure failures.
